Fullerton Museum Center

Just a few miles from your downtown Anaheim guest room is the Fullerton Museum Center featuring the Leo Fender Gallery. OC Weekly calls it the best art museum in the region, and it features a variety of multidisciplinary exhibits as well as educational programs. Focusing on art, science, history and humanities, the FMC is all about critical and creative thinking coming together to stimulate conversations.

General admission is just $5. The current trending exhibit is the new Fullerton Public Art by Jun Blanco featuring “A City Rich in History.” It’s a nod to the agricultural history of Fullerton along with the city’s industrial past. Public art has long been a staple in the city, starting in 1935 with the Works Progress in downtown showcasing art by local creatives.

Art from the Heart

Around town, you’ll find “Pastoral California” by Charles Kassler on the Plummer Auditorium wall. It’s one of the biggest frescoes in the area. There’s also “Flight” by Aldo Casanova at City Hall. All are governed by the museum and regional committees.

The temporary exhibit Audio Visuals: The Photography of Henry Diltz opened in April. Discover the work of the famed photographer who’s created albums for the likes of James Taylor and The Eagles. Check the calendar for special events and listings.
