Independence Day in Anaheim

Disneyland isn’t the only Anaheim area destination known for a fantastic fireworks display. Head to the City of Laguna Hills Fourth of July Celebration from 4 – 9:30 p.m. for carnival rides, non-stop live music, face painting and patriotic craft making. It all culminates in a huge fireworks show, and there’s plenty of food, drinks and ride tickets available. Located at Laguna Hills Community Center, it’s a charming low key option.

Fourth of July

There’s also the Laguna Niguel 4th of July All Day Celebration starting at 7:30 a.m. with a 5k run/walk. The pancake breakfast is from 7:30 – 11 a.m. and costs only $5, and the evening concert begins at 6 p.m. featuring Undercover Live at the Crown Valley Community Park. Stroll along the park trails to take in the fireworks display at 9 p.m. for a picture perfect holiday.

A Star Spangled Success

In La Palma, the Annual Run for Fun Event takes place July 4th featuring a quaint hometown vibe. Kids are welcome to the Yankee Doodle Dash at 8:30 a.m. just for little ones ages 2 – 12. Non-competitive with a variety of distances, everyone gets a bib and medal. Next is the Family Fun Zone starting at 8:30 a.m. with obstacle courses, potato sack races, tug of war and more. From the pancake breakfast to the evening fireworks, it’s a show to remember.

La Habra’s Annual 4th of July Spectacular features live music, food and drinks, a free kids’ zone with a giant slide, obstacle course, balloon artist and more. Pick up pre-sale wristbands early or at the gate. Where will you be celebrating?
